The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Woodland alongside Occupation Road at Albert Village is 47 acres of newly planted woodland with sculpture trails and various glades. (Don't leave the surfaced paths during the winter months as the surrounding land is extremely wet and marshy.)
Immediately next to it is Church Gresley Wood, which has a number of surfaced paths criss-crossing it and linking to Swainspark Wood to the south. Swainspark Wood is a mature woodland over the top of the Gresley Tunnel which carries the railway through the hill side.
