A 230 acre reservoir and nature reserve with 2 car parks, woodland walks (the main woodland walk is about 2½ miles), picnic areas, trout fishing and sailing. There is also a kiosk selling snacks and ices, toilets and a children's play area.
A short distance to the south is the village of Hartshorne where there are several public houses that do food including The Spinning Wheel and The Chesterfield.
